China Light & Power (CLP) are currently offering financial subsidies to those who undertake energy saving improvement works in the communal areas of residential, commercial and industrial buildings here in Hong Kong.
That means that eligible persons and corporations are able to secure funding of up to HK$500,000 for energy saving improvements work with a view to reducing your energy costs, combatting climate change and creating a greener Hong Kong.
Eligibility is pretty simple really; your building must be in the CLP power supply area and be residential, commercial, industrial or mixed-use (and not owned or operated by the Government). This can include malls, shopping centres, club houses and schools.
You may apply for the fund if you, own the building, represent the building’s owner (e.g., owner’s corporation, owner’s committee or mutual aid committee) or be another representative of the building’s owner (e.g., property management company).
3M Solar window film application is covered in this subsidy as it reduces the heat and energy use of eligible buildings. 3M Solar window film is approved by CLP and this scheme, and the cost of its application can be offset through this subsidy.
